M.I.A.

Sorry I have been M.I.A., or missing in action. Things have been crazy, and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon! A lot has happened since this past May. Little Eddie is now 8 months old and growing like a weed. He's an absolute joy and I cherish every minute with him.

Since May, we have gone to Gatlinburg, TN to visit my family for a week-long vacation. It was WONDERFUL!!! My grandmother came and got to meet little Eddie for the first time. We stayed in a chalet in the mountains and took it easy for a week. We hiked to Laurel Falls and went to Ober Gatlinburg. We also went to the Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, TN. It was a great vacation....It was just too bad that big Eddie had to stay at home and work.

June was a fun month because little Eddie got his first two teeth. The teething wasn't TOO bad, although we did have some fussy days and nights. We're still waiting no more teeth to come in, and two top teeth could come in any day!

July was another fun month because my mom, dad, and little sister, Rebecca, came to town for the 4th of July. We ate at the family buffet out at Bellerive and then we TRIED to watch the fireworks. Little Eddie was terrified by the booming of the fireworks, so we only watched 5 or 6 before we decided to call it a night. The rest of the month was really laid back. We enjoyed going to the pool and taking walks when the weather wasn't too hot.

August has been absolutely WONDERFUL!! We have only had two hot days (so far), but the rest of the month has had highs in the mid-80's, which is NOT typical weather for St. Louis. Little Eddie and I have been walking every day and one of our new favorite things to do is to walk up to Barnes and Noble, pick out a few books, and read for a while. He really enjoys going up there, and everyone that works there knows him (and me), so it makes for a pleasant late afternoon activity.

I'm headed back down to Birmingham tomorrow for a visit with my family. Big Eddie will stay here (as usual) and then big Eddie and I will fly to Hershey, PA while my parents watch little Eddie for the weekend. We're going to a wedding, and this will be my first time to leave little Eddie for more than a few hours. I know that my family will take great care of him, but I'm still nervous about leaving him!!

Also, we are back in the TTC saddle again. We have been trying to get pregnant since May 2008. My cycles have been a bit wacky, but we're hoping that Follistim will do the trick for us again! I've already had once cycle with the Follistim and it ended with a possible chemical pregnancy. I was sad, but not nearly as sad as when I was TTC before having little Eddie. I just feel like I've been blessed to have little Eddie and any additional children will be a nice bonus. Stay tuned for another fun-filled TTC rollercoaster!
