So I'm 34w5d, and I had my regular appointment with DeRosa this morning at 9:00. He didn't even know that I was in L&D twice yesterday, so as soon as I told him, he immediately told me that we were going to do a FFN Test and a GBS Test. Fortunately, they both came back negative He also checked me and said that I haven't made any progress since yesterday, so I was still soft and 1 cm. dialated. He also measured my tummy and I'm measuring 29 weeks, instead of 35 weeks, so he ordered an extra u/s to make sure that little Eddie is still growing appropriately. I think I'm small because I have such a long waist and because baby Eddie is sitting so low in my pelvis. Oh well, I don't really mind the extra u/s, as I always enjoy seeing my little guy!
I'm still supposed to take the Procardia every six hours, which is a real pain in the butt. It makes me incredibly nauseated, so I'm having to force myself to eat at this point. I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night because I had to set the alarm for 12:45 and then again for 6:45 so that I could take the Procardia on time. I was up from 12:45 until 4:30 with mild contractions, so I'm a little worn out today.
On a positive note, my little episodes with preterm labor have gotten me out of making the mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner. I absolutely HATE making them, but my MIL asked me to bring them because she hates making them, too. Well, Eddie called her yesterday and told her what was going on and that I was on modified bedrest, which is true, and he asked his mom to make the potatoes so that I wouldn't have to be on my feet! Eddie really comes through when things are looking tough! ;)
I did manage to take a 1 1/2 hour nap today, but now I've been sneaking in some light housework. It's been 3 weeks since I've cleaned my house, so I figured I better do some now before I get put on permanent bedrest. Back to the mop and bucket for me....
